The holidays

Yesterday the 14th of October 2012 we just came back from our late flight from Fiji air pacific. We stayed in Musket cove in plantation island. The water was fresh clear and there were thousands of sand crabs and starfish! There was also a restaurant beside the pool and a beach front. We stayed in Viler 35 the same as last year. We stayed there for a week and came back to New Zealand. How we got there' First we drove from Mosgiel to Quennstown then we drove to Timaru to Christchurch.And then flew from Christchurch up to Fiji! It took four hours by plane to fly there. And took three and a half hours to fly back. We did lots of activity's there and fed stingrays and tropical fish. It was a great holiday! I wish we could of stayed longer.

Mars has 2 moons.

This is the planet Mars!

Mars is nicknamed the red planet because it is covered with rust-like dust. Even the atmosphere is a pinkish red, colored by tiny particles of dust thrown up from the surface.

Scientists say that there are no living creatures on mars but they have not stopped looking! Mars is also the fourth planet from the sun! Mars is also known as the Red planet because of the red dust that is like a desert.

Some questions?

How many kg's does Mars weigh?

Why is Mars so cold? Mars is so cold because Mars is further from the sun and has lesser amount of atmosphere.

Did you know that Mars is next to the planet Jupiter and Earth.

Mars weighs 6.4185x1023kg in other words ALOT!

We are getting ready to take off to space in 3...2...1... BLAST OFF! It is an amazing wonder in space! The moonlight stars shine on our rocket ship like an illusion. The fluffy candyfloss clouds leave behind us. Comets flaming past us as well as shooting stars from a distance away' that we can only see a tiny speck of light fly past us. Like a miracle would happen!

My Speech

My speech is that I think that children shouldn't be allowed to be home schooled.

Firstly, I think that children would probably always want to do what they want and our parents would always have to get up early in the morning and teach us. The only thing children would do is play on computers laptops or devices. And also you probably wouldn't learn as much at school than at home. We also wouldn't have our teacher Mrs K! We would always be at home trying to stay awake all day because the night before we would probably be worrying about math tests and homework.

Secondly, as I said before that children should defiantly not be home schooled because we wouldn't learn as much at home than at school.... And also did you know that we wouldn't see our friends that much because we would always be at home. Plus did you know that our mums and dads would be tired of us all the time because of teaching us every day. The only other thing that would entertain us would be art,music,drama,and more....

Thirdly, If I did agree that children should be home schooled I would think that children would always do what they want, They probably wouldn't listen to there mums and dads and also that parents would always get tired of us being silly all the time.

My Conclusion

That is why I think that children should not be home schooled. Thank you for listening to

The takahe

The takahe is endangered because.....

Takehe were one of the largest family when they were found in the southern oceanic islands.

Sadly enough takahe were hunted and killed but were rarely found in the 19th century. No

one ever saw them after the 1900s and people said it was extict but amazingly 200 pairs of

takahe were found in Fiordland in 1948. The north island takahe is now extinct?

Where in New nealand were takahe found?

The first takahe was found in Fiordland

in nationa, park. But the takahe are all

gone and extinct like the dinosaurs?

The hector dolphin was found in ackaroa and is

now being hunted by fishermen. They are also

being killed by fishermen because the hector

dolphins get stuck in there nets and in also the

plasic that people pollute in the water?

Man vs Wild episode,CRAZY!

Today I was watching a man vs wild episode and there were two other guys that signed up to do a crazy chorus! And they had to get down from a snowy mountain and they also were going through trenches full of ice and snow! There was a dead animal stuck in between one big ice cube!!! After they all got down to the bottom of the hill they all had rabbit parts for dinner like the heart,lungs and something ales disgusting! It was weirder than all the other shows I've seen. I wonder who would be crazy enough do to all that stuff except him. Wow! He has a lot of courage and craziness.

Any way I cant wait until the next Man vs Wild show!

Hi its Anahera here and I was just wondering why we have to kill animals to eat. And also that most
endangered animals and species are going to be all gone and are also going to be extinct!
Like the Takahe! Can we stop people from polluting in the sea and killing animals that are innocent?
Please the sea creatures and animals die because we pollute plastic and rubbish everywhere!

Once upon a time there was a little girl called Molly she loved to explore out in the open and go on adventures in the forests and in the amazon jungle!She would pack her backpack with a hole lot of sandwiches and take off  into the woods. While she would be in the woods she would hold on to her backpack close on her back and bring her dog Odin. But something was wrong, something was missing? What was it she thought in her head. Then Odin could smell something strange, something fishy? They walked deep in the woods until it was completely pitch black?

Hi guys!

Did know that the Takahe is endangered because...

A few years ago the Takahe was alive but hunters hunted them and they all died out!
They say that it had been extinct! But years later some people found 200 pairs of them .
It was amazing! But in our time now? the Takahe is gone forever?
